The Perks of Being a Wallflower -  Trailer

looked at your page about the perks of being a wallflower... that is my favorite book! Why do you love it?

Wow. Everyone like fucking loves this book now, it’s ridiculous. Stephen Chbosky is a supreme writer in the first person. I’ve never read any other book before or after Perks that has covered the genius or perfect description of a single character’s mind. He isn’t writing a story about a boy. He is the story of the boy. That’s what I love about the book the most. You’re not an outside viewer, you are Charlie as much as Charlie is you. He’s a character that, though completely fiction, is inexplicably real. I was brought into a world that wasn’t my own, yet it was everything of mine. The feelings of the book are all real, they’re all things that everyone as a growing teenager feels or has felt. It is infinite.

And even if somebody else has it much worse, that doesn’t really change the fact that you have what you have.
